TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The person who laid an infer mation against me at Hawera recently for my unwitting violation of the Stamp Act, reported in your paper, gives a reason for his action. Let me say I wrote to Hawera on March 30th refnsing to (end a sum of £IOO, asked for on mortgage of his house, as he had not paid my account. His information against me was dated April 3rd. W . F.
