FIRE AT OKATO.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 2. McCullum’s store at Okato was burnt down this morning at 5 o’clock. Mrs McCullum had a narrow escape of being burnt. The cause of the accident is not known. The insux-ance on the building is £2OO, and the stock £3OO. Mr McCullum estimates a loss of £3uo over the insurance. Nothing, not even their clothes, was saved, Mrs McCullum being carried out of the house in her nightdress.
