CREDITORS’ MEETINGS.

A meeting of creditors in the estate ' of Mr J W Durie, of Waitotara, was held at the Courthouse this morning. Present: Messrs E C Horner, Notman, Clarke, C Durie, McKenzie, Nicholson, Pyemont. Mr Notman was voted to the Chair, and after a few questions had been put to the debtor, it was resolved, on the motion of Mr C A Durie, seconded by Mr Nicholson, “ That Mr Notman be appointed trustee.” * ; ■Mr G A Durie, on behalUof Mrs Durie, made'ah offer of ubs in the £, without interest, to unsecured creditors, in S months, Mr Fisher thought that the estate would realise more than ss. Mr Durie moved, “ That the trustee be requested to accept an offer of 5s in the £ on unsecured claims, at 3 mouths, made by Mrs Durie.” Seconded by Mr Clarke, and carried.' This .was all the business.. s A meeting of creditors in the estate of Mr Charles Fisk, of Waitotara, was held at the Court-house at 2 p.m. this afternoon. Present—Mr Notman, Tilly, and Dickie. Mr Hamerton appeared for the debtor. On the motion of Mr Tilly, Mr Notman was voted to the chair. ; In answer to a creditor, Mr Fisk said the capital he entered the business with was £4OO. He did not know much he had lost over a certain sheepskin transaction. In January the firm stood £4OO or £SOO to the good. By the Chairman : Mr Signal is not secured. He has not taken possession of the property. Todd and Mcßeth trustees for Mrs Hamblin hold the mortgage over the estate. Mr Pyemont does not intend to keep the business on. By Mr Tilley: I estimate my book debts at about £IOO. I had no bills dishonoured by the bank before the 4th. I have handed the cash in band to Mr Dean. .1 was not insolvent at the time I filed, which I did to get rid of ray partner. Mr Tilley moved, “ That Mr Notman and himself bo appointed joint trustees.”. Seconded by Mr Dickie and carried. It was agreed to ask Mr Pyemont, the other partner in the firm, to file, meeting adjourned.
