WAIROA HIGHWAY BOARD.
A special meeting of the above Board was held on the 17th inst. Letters were read from Messrs Hutchison and Henson re completing the application for loan under the Roads and Bridges construction Act for block 9 road. From Mr 0. Thomas re Kohi road deviation. From General Survey Office re £2OO grant for Motuwhero road. From Mr D. H. Williamson enclosing guarantee from settlers in blocks 8 and 4. Mr C. Thomas waited on the Board re Kohi road deviation through his property. Resolved, “ That tenders be called for Moturoa road, Motuwhero road, and Motuwhero bridge to close on Saturday 28th inst, at 12 noon.” Resolved, “ That the Secretary write to Mr Garrett asking him to prepare plans of Henson’s road required under the Roatjs and Bridges Construction Act.” Resolved, “ That the tenders for above contracts bo advertised in th e Patea Mail and Wanganui Chronicle. It. was decided to hold a special meeting on Saturday 28th inst, at 2 p.m, and the meeting then adjourned. . ' ,
