Barometer—further rise at all stations.: Sea—heavy, on eastern coast south of: East Oapej and increase on western csast. Warnings for southerly gales have been sent to all east coast stations south of East Cape. Synopsis of last 48 hours North of : Napier ancL -Newthe barometer has. continued to rise steadily, but everywhere' else ‘it 'continued to fall slowly until Sunday'evening, and since then it has risen steadily. Rain has fallen heavily at most places south of Napier and New Plymouth, .and the sea has-been heavy oh*’ the Eastern Coast, but moderate on the A.' Edwin. • "
