eter, further fall on all Stations. Sea heavy on Eastern Coast north of Lyttelton, and increase on Western Coast. . Warnings for easterly gales hold good at all places north of East Cape and; Cambridge, and for northerly gales to all East Coast stations north of Lyttelton. Synopsis of last twenty-four hours.—There have been strong easterly winds at most places north of Gisborne and Cambridge, but the weather has been fine everywhere else, with increasing sea on the eastern coast, and the barometer had fallen steadily in all parts of the country.
