ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Acclimatisation Society was held at Hawera on Friday. It was resolved that the season for shooting native game be as follows— March 23 to July 23. (2.) That the season for shooting imported game be from May 1 to July 31 (iriclasiye). That the license fee for shooting ported game bet3os, as heretofore. "A letter was read from the chairman of tba Patea snb-committee asking for a refund of any monies collected fromresidents in the Patea district, 1 less expenses from advertising. The amount due, according to Government vouchers,* appeared to be £lO 10s. Resolved, that balance due to the Patea sub-committee be paid less advertising expenses. It was resolved, that all persons taking out game licenses within the district her thereby entitled to all the privileges of membership in the Hawera Acclimatisation Society. ; 5 The following gentlemen were reappointed to office James Livingston, President; George McLean, Vice-Pre-. sident; H. R. Parrington,Hon. Secretary and Treasurer. .
