Sir Bryan O’Loghlen, ex Premier, who was defeated at the general election, has announced his intention of contesting the seat for West Bourke, rendered vacant by Mr Deacon’s acceptance of the portfolio of-MiV-ter of Works. The English cricketers were banquelled last night by the Melbourne Cricket Club:?prior to their departure for England. SYDNEY; March 14. A large open-air meeting was held yesterday, at which resolutions were passed protesting against the vote for immigration which has been passed by the Assembly. Mr A G- Taylor, the member for Mudgce, made an apology in the Legislative Assembly last night for an unfounded statement which he made recently. The House received the apology.
