DUNEDIN, This day. Tiio Governor visited Port Chaltxiers on Saturday and was enthusiastically received. After inspecting the dock site, present dock, &c., ho was entertained at luncheon, and took the occasion again to urge on the Harbour authorities the necessity 'of improving the bar, and providing for the arrival of large ships and steamers. His Excellency left for the South at ten this morning. At the station over 3000 school children sang the National and New Zealand anthem. Despite the ruin, there was a large attendance of the public, who cheered heartily as the train moved off. . N
