RAM AND EWE FAIR.

; C. F. Barker held his third annual ram and ewe fair at his yards on Wednesday, at which there was a fair attendance of buyers. The sales transacted are given below. A number of horses were sold, but only realised small priers. Pure Lincoln Earns.—On account of John Sheild, Esq. Ten lots were catalogued but none sold. Pure Romney Marsh Rams—On account of R. E. Mcßae, E«q. These sheep are out of ewes bred by J. Ludlam, the Hutt, Wellington, by rams from the Hock of Major Willis, Rangitikei. Only two were sold out of twenty lots, but the names of purchaser and price have not been received. Pure-bred Rams.—On account of R B Pearce. Mr Pearce’s sheep gave general satisfaction last season, on account of the fineness of their wool and the fattening qualities of the stock. Lot 26, 2-tooth, Parsons, 3jgs ; 28, do, A Hunter, 3gs ; 30, do, Parsons, 4gs. Pure Lincoln Rams.—On account of J M Dickie, Esq. These sheep are from pure stock on both sides. Lot 32,2-footb, Riddle, 3gs ; 34, do, Newton King, 2fgs ; 35, do, A Hunter, 2-Jgs ; 36, do, Newtoa King, 2gs ; 37, do, J Dyke, s£gs. Pure Lincoln Rama. —On account of S P Andrews, Esq, Tai Tnpu, Canterbury. These sheep are bred by Mr Andrews, and are the progeny of sheep imported from Messrs Kirkham’s flock, England.
