..TO THE EDITOR. .Sir, — I see in your last night’s paper what.l term as scandle on me. You state in your paper by advertisement the Georgia -Minstrels would appear with stump speech, songs, and dances. Such would have been the case if the . people would have come that promised, hut they did not. I was the victim ; by your paper, I am nothing else but a swindler. You also state, tickets sold in advance. ’Nafne- the peopleJlhat -bought tickets; 7 1 have not received one penny from the froceedings. I have not left the place. am working to pay the. debt that the Tatea Minstrels have let me in for. I was tiic-i only one to appear at the Hall on Saturday night to perform, but while yhihning about looking for the would-be Minstrels the hall closed. lam £3 12s ’but oD pocket after all is payed. lam also instructed to take proceeding for scandle if not altered in to-night’s paper. 12 years a- resident of Wellington, and that local ofi.yours will do me a great deal otdiarm. 1 I remain &c., . . < O. The most pleasing sentence in the above letter -is that he is working to clear off his debts.
