The Australasian Insurance and Banicing Record has an article commenting on the New Zealand loan, It draws attention to the date- of issue and minimum fixed, and says that it looks like an attempt to “ jostle ’’ Victoria. The Record adds that it is the first time in the history of the colonies that such proceedings have occurred.
