[REUTER.—COPYRIGHT.] (Received Jan. 8, 3 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This day. The Dunedin’ municipal frauds arc attracting considerable attention. Three well known Melbourne brokers. Were and Son, Wilder, and Griffiths have been victimised to the extent of £3500. It has been ascertained that Massey’s wife sold Griffiths £SOO ot waterworks debentures, in the; name of Louisa Allem The coupons were subsequently paid in London. Later. Messrs "Were ami Son sold fifteen debentures, paying cash to the amount of £1594, which Massey’s wife accepted in the name of Lucy Brown. Massey then obtained a draft on New Zealand for £6OO. Wilder also purchased thirteen debentures, paying £1365 cash, and Massey got a draft for £llsO on Christchurch.
