* (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, this day. The City Council yesternight raised the Mayor’s salary from £250 to £400; the town clerk’s salary was increased to '£soo, and the Engineer’s to £6OO. 600 bushmen arrived here yesterday for the holidays.
