(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.} WELLINGTON, This Day. Following is Wahanni’s letter to the ■Hon. Mr Bryce ; “ WhatiwKatihoe, 9th December. To Mr Bryce, Minister for Native affairs : Greeting—your letter of 15th November has reached, and I have seen your words. With reference to your word that it was through the Ngatimaniopoto that Tawhaio did not consent to what you said at Whatiwhatihoe, this is my reply:—lt was not through the Ngatimaniopoto that Tawhaio.did not approve of what you said. With regard to other words let them remain to be discussed by me and the whole of ray tribe. This is all from W ahanui.”
