SAFETY OF THE LALLA ROOKH.

The steamer Lalla lioolcli, (or the safely of which considerable anxiety was felt during the past few days, arrived in tlio Waitara river last night at, eleven o’eloek. She had been taking shelter at K.awhai, Latku. On Thursday morning finding the sea too heavy there, he lifted anchor and made for Kawhin and remained there until yesterday morning, when sin? left and arrived at Waitara shortly after swven last evening. The captain reports that the whole of the report in reference to distress signals is incorrect. The only signal used was the usual recognition of a steamer passing by exhibiting a light.
