PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
The regular monthly meeting of the above Board was held at Kakaramea on Thursday. Present—Messrs E. J. Morgan (chairman), Gibbs, Pearce, and Wilson. A letter was read from Mr Michie, re opening Wilson and Gane roads. Proposed by Mr Morgan, seconded by Mr Pearce, and carried, “That Messrs Pearce, Wilson, and Gibbs be a committee to inspect the obstructions on Wilson and Gane road, and if they consider it practicable, to make a bridle track for a sum not exceeding £5 ; they ‘to give the secretary the necessary instructions to act.” The following tenders for road works were received : Upper Kakaramea Eoad—Robinson and Co., L 3 2s (accepted) ; J. Wright £9. Garsed Eoad —Robinson and Co., L 5 (accepted) ; J. Wright, LB. Hukatero Eoad—J. Wright, Lls 10s (accepted) ; Robinson and Co., Ll6. . Joll Road, No. I—J, Wright, LI 10s (accepted) ; Robinson and Co., L2 ; Coleman and Stanford, L 4 15s.
Joll Road, No 2—J. W. Wright, LI 18s (accepted) ; Robinson and Co., LI 10s; Coleman and Stanford, L2 ss. Joll Road,’ No. 3—J. Wright, LI 18s (accepted); Robinson and Co., L2 10s ; Coleman and Stanford, L2 10s.
Joll Road, No. 4—Robinson and Co., L 3 16s 6d (accepted) ; J. Wright, L 5 ; Coleman and Stanford, L 5 ss. Upper Ball Road—Coleman and Stanford, L 7 (accepted) ; Hartwell and Ward, L 9 ; Robinson and Co., L 9 ss.
