PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.

The regular monthly meeting of the above Board was held at Kakaramea on Thursday. Present—Messrs E. J. Morgan (chairman), Gibbs, Pearce, and Wilson. A letter was read from Mr Michie, re opening Wilson and Gane roads. Proposed by Mr Morgan, seconded by Mr Pearce, and carried, “That Messrs Pearce, Wilson, and Gibbs be a committee to inspect the obstructions on Wilson and Gane road, and if they consider it practicable, to make a bridle track for a sum not exceeding £5 ; they ‘to give the secretary the necessary instructions to act.” The following tenders for road works were received : Upper Kakaramea Eoad—Robinson and Co., L 3 2s (accepted) ; J. Wright £9. Garsed Eoad —Robinson and Co., L 5 (accepted) ; J. Wright, LB. Hukatero Eoad—J. Wright, Lls 10s (accepted) ; Robinson and Co., Ll6. .
