The distance from Shanghai to London is about 12,000 miles. The cargo, which was a little short of 6,000 tons, end the largest, according to tlie Marine Engineer, ever brought to England in one vessel, was worth over £1,000,000 sterling, and was discharged in the unprecedented short time of 30 hours.
