Tenders. Patea Harbor Board. TENDERS are invited for the lease for over twenty years of sub-section 8, section 131, and section 135, both Whennakura block. Tenders to be sealed, addressed to the Chairman, endorsed “Tender for lease o f_ ” and to be delivered to the undersigned before noon of Monday 11th December. The land has a frontage to the main road, and is close to the Patea road bridge and Railway station. Manutahi (Plate-laying) Contract. Length about miles. FOXTON-NEW PLYMOUTH RAILWAY. Public Works Office, Wellington, 6th October, 1882. TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon on Thursday, the 2nd November, 1882, for tbe above Contract. They are to bo marked on the outside, “ Tender for Manutahi Platelaying Contract,” and addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works. Telegraphic tenders similarly addressed and marked will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that tenders as above are lodged at any District or Resident Engineer’s Office by the same hour. Drawings, specifications, and general conditions may be seen at this office; at the Public Works Offices, Hawera and Wanganui ; the Railway Station, New Plymouth ; and the Crown Lands Office, Patea. L. & Co. desire further to intimate that every branch of the business will be under their immediate supervision, and it is their intention to use thoroughly seasoned timber and materials of the best quality in connection with their manufactures.
