Wanganui) October sth. The yards at W.averley were well tilled with cattle, chiefly cows. Prices ruled without alteration. At Kakaramea the bidding was brisk, every lot being sold at or immediately after the auction. At St. Hill street to-day a large number of firstclass bullocks were yarded. 'lhe bidding throughout was dull, and the attendance of settlers very small. Nearly all the cattle were turned out unsold, prices offered not being up to the market value. Cattle.—At ’Waverley 248 head were sold—Bullocks, £4 15s ; cows and calves, £4 5s to £4 10s ; cows in calf, £3 10s to £3 18s 6d ; 2-yoarold steers, £3 ; weaners, £2. At Kakaramea 196 head were yarded —Bullocks, £5 to £5 9s Gd ; cows, £3 11s to £3 16s 6d ; steers, £3 11s ; weaners, £2 3s to £2 7s 6d. At St Hill street 525 ■were yarded—Pat bullocks, £8 5s to £9,10s ; 2-year old steers, £3 10s ; weaners, £2 4s. Sheep.—At Waverley 407 were penned —Wethers—l4s 7d ; ewes, 9s 6d to 10s 3d. At St Hill street —Wethers 15s 6d to 16s. Pigs.—Porkeis, 14s to 16s Horses.—No alteration in value. Exports.—Bo cattle, 1052 sheep, 26 pigs and 4 horses.
