AFRICAN EXPLORERS.
M. de Brazzi, the African explorer, has been interviewed in Paris. He says that in his journey along the Congo and the Ogowai he adopted a system in his intercourse with the natives exactly opposed to that of Stanley, whom he had met on the west coast. Stanley treated them with a high hand, whereas he adhered to a policy of conciliation, peace, and generosity. Thanks to this, M. Brazzi declares that the natives adore him, and that 800 of them are entirely at his orders.
