“ Pegasus,” the sporting contributor to the Dunedin Evening Star, publishes a review of the past racing season . Auckland heads the list of provinces in the number of meetings and the amount of added £10,727 ; Canterbury is next with 37 meetings and £8865 ; Otago, 53 meetings and £B7IO ; Wellington, 33 meetings and £8685. The principal winner for the year was the late Mr Walters, of Auckland, with £3228; Messrs Robinson and Lance; rank j next with £2580. The horse which won the largest amount Was Grip, with £1455 ; the Slander filly second, with £1155; Lady Emma’and Clarence next, with £IO2O each. Traducey heads the list of winning sires; Ravensworth following ; Albany third ; and Yattendon fourth.
