Manaia, August 18. Cattle.—At our yards on Wednesday last 135 bead were entered. Values but slightly changed since last month. The attendance was not large, and on account of owners’ reserve being in excess of purchasers’ estimates, only one pen was sold at the hammer. The remainder, with the exception of a pen of mixed 2-year-olds, were quitted after the auction at the following prices :—Cows, in calf, £3 5s to £3 17s 6d ; 2-year-old heifers, in calf, £3 5s ; mixed yearlings, £2 4s ; wconers, £1 13s.
