The high rates ruling for rye-grass has caused considerable quantities to bo brought to market, which has checked any material rise in value. We quote for this seed 4s 3d to 5s 6d, according to quality and dressing. Cocksfoot is in more limited supply, and in consequence of an unusually heavy demand for the light lands, an advance of must be noted on the month, making current quotations s£d to s£d f.o.b. or in Christchurch. Auckland. —Stocks are heavy, consequent on the small demand of last season, the unfavorable weather having prevented farmers burning off at the usual time. We quote ryegrass seed dull at 5s 6d, and cocksfoot dull at 7s 9d per 20 lbs.
