Wreck of a Coaster.
Foxton.—The ketch Elizabeth, with 17 tons of coal and coke from Wellington to Foxton, went ashore at three am. to-day, about 7 miles south of the entrance to the Manawatu river. All -hands were saved. The vessel is not damaged. The Captain expects to be able to re-launch after discharging cargo. Rape. Dunedin. —At the Supreme Court to-day Thomas Ramago, convicted of rape on his granddaughter, was sentenced to eight years.
