LAND CLAIMS COMMISSION.
The following are the names of discharged soldiers and others in the Patea, Rangitikei, and Wanganui districts who have been recommended to His Excellency the Governor grants of land or scrip by the Laud Claims Commission. In each case the recommendation covers the amount claimed :—Bowie, James, Wairoa Rifles, Waverley, £3O scrip; Carthy, James, 58th Regiment, Hawera, 60 acres or £6O scrip; Corr, John, 58th Regiment (care of J. G. Wilson, Rangitikei), 60 acres or £6O scrip; Dunn, Joseph, 66th Regiment, Feilding, 60 acres or £6O scrip ; Fookes, F. P., Wairoa and Patea Rifles, Waverley, £3O scrip; McElwain, James, 65th Regiment, Wanganui, 60 acres or £6O scrip ; Paterick, Thomas, 65th Regiment, Wanganui, 60 acres or £6O scrip ; Pallets, David, 65th Regiment, Manutahi, Patea, 60 acres or £6O scrip; Stanford, Thomas, 65th Regiment (care of T. U. Cook, Foxton), 60 acres or £6O scrip ; Symesj Edward P., Wairoa Light Horse, Whenuaknra, Patea, £Boscrip; Wright, George R. A.; Brunswick Line, Wanganui, 60 acres or £6O scrip.
