(PER REUTEB’s AGENCY.) War in Egypt Imminent. A FINAL WARNING. Alexandria, 4th. —Admiral Sir Beauchamp Seymour, commander of the allied English and French fleets now in port, has sent a communication to the Khedive of a menacing character. The admiral demands immediate cessation of fortifying and arming the harbor of Alexandria, which are actively, proceeding, and threatens in case of non-compliance with his demand, to take steps to enforce Obedience on the part of the Egyptians. BOMBARDMENT of ALEXANDRIA .EXPECTED. Alexandria, sth.—No reply has yet been received from Arabi Pasha, the Egyptian Minister of War, to the communication of Sir Beauchamp Seymour, and notwithstanding the threats of the Admiral commanding the allied fleet before this city, the work of fortifying the harbour and the commanding positions proceeds without intermission. Affairs are now in a most critical state, and it is expected that the bombardment of the city will shortly take place. FRENCH FLEET PREPARING. Paris, 6th.—ln view of the present serious aspect of Egyptian affairs, active preparations are being made at Loulon, the French Naval Port in the Mediterranean, and a formidable ironclad fleet is rapidly being equipped for active service. INDIAN TROOPS IN READINESS, Bombay, 6th.—Active military preparations are now being made by the Indian Government for despatching a contingent force to ’ Egypt in case of necessity. Six thousand troops have received orders to hold themselves- in readiness to embark. Further preparations are also being made for the transport and victualling services. Stopping Channel Tunnel. London, 6th.—The Channel Tunnel Co. have agreed to stop operations, the Government having applied for an injunction to restrain them.
