Upon land enclosed by a sufficient fence having any cultivated crop of any. kind, including grass left for hay, growing thereon, for every head of horses, asses, mules, horned or neat cattle, goats or swine, the sum of three shillings, and for for every head of sheep the sum of one shilling. Poundkeeper’s fee for posting notice of cattle impounded—one shilling. Part XII.-'-Regulation of Slaughterhouses. 168. Slaughterhouses within the Borough shall pay a fee of £lO. 169. It shall be the duty of the owner or lessee of every slaughterhouse to provide animals while kept there with a sufficient supply of water, to the satisfaction of any person appointed in that behalf by the Council. 170. That no cruelty shall be committed to animals in any slaughterhouse. 171. The owner or lessee of every slaughterhouse shall keep the same in a cleanly and proper state, and remove all offal or filth at least once a day to such place as shall be prescribed from time to time by the Council. v 172. The owner or lessee of every slaughterhouse shall pay, by way of Inspector’s fee, to any Inspector who may from time to time be appointed by the Council, the sum of one half-penny (4d) for each and every head of small cattle, and twopence (2d) for each and every head of large cattle slaughtered at any slaughterhouse : Provided always that any demand for such fee be made within six (6) calendar months from the date on which such cattle were slaughtered. 173.
