SEARCHING FOE ASSASSINS.' | New York, 17th. Steamers of all Atlantic lines are now carefully searched by police on arrival here, with a view of discovering the Phoenix Park - assassins. Who Claims the MoneyAdelaide, this day.—The police having impounded a sum of £7OO found on the Auckland defaulter Harges, a question has arisen whether the same should be available for Adelaide or New Zealand creditors ; and the amount has consequently been handed over to the officered receiver. FORBIGNERS~IN EGYPT. Cairo, 17th.—It has transpired that the foreign consuls, acting under instructions of their Governments, wilt demand of the Khedive that the Egyptian army should forthwith be disbanded, and that all rebels lious officers should be banished. It. is stated that in view of the,present position of affairs, the Turkish Government will probably despatch a fleet of ironclads to Alexandria.
