Sticking-up at Christchurch.
Christchurch.-—Mr -Nelson, of the firm of Nelson, Monte, and Co., was stuck up on the East Belt at half-past eleven, on Tuesday night by three men, who spaang upon him from a hedge and knocked him down. ; His clothes were considerably; torn in the scuffle and through the attempts i to rifle'him, but he made a vigorous resistance, and the noise he kicked up i eventually frightened his assailants off. : The police searched the neighbourhood for some hours, but, in vain.
