The marriage of Miss Nellie Bush, youngest daughter of the late Dr Bush, took place at Brigbtwater, Nelson, on the 22nd. The Colonist says the bride is held in great respect in the Waimea district. The bridegroom is Mr George Ashcroft, holding an important position in the railway department at Dunedin ; and he had been presented with a piece of plate and marble timepiece by Dunedin friends as a wedding gift. Prejudice and self-sufficiency naturally proceed from inexperience of the world and ignorance of mankind.
