This Afternoon. Bank of England Returns. London, 19th.—The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published today, show the proportion of reserve liabilities to be 42 per cent. The total reserve in notes and bullion amounts to £13,000,000. High Life Scandal. London, 18th. Further {charges against the Marquis of Huntley were heard at the police court to-day. The prosecution however failed to establish a case, and the charges were consequently dismissed.
