The Political Situation.
Since the Executive Council met in Wellington on Saturday, at the Premier’s residence, nothing is reported to throw light on the political situation. Sir George Grey reached Wellington on Saturday morning, and has had an interview with the Governor, with what result remains to be seen. (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington.—Sir George Grey arrived on Saturday morning. Nothing further lias transpired regarding the political situation.
NEW PREMIER.
A telegram to hand at the last moment slates that the Governor has requested Mr Whittaker, AttorneyGeneral, to form a new Ministry.
