Rent Arrears in Ireland. London, 31st.—la the House of Commons to-day, the Premier, in reply to a question, stated that Government would consider during the recess what should bo-done regarding the nonpayment of arrears of rent in Ireland.

Cloture i Discussion, i London, 31st.—The debate on the cloture proposals of Government is now proceeding in the House of Commons. During this ;i ,afternoon’s sitting, an amendment introduced by Mr Marriott, Liberal member for Brighton, condemning the proposal that cloture should be voteable by a simple majority of the House, was negatived on division by 313 to 279.
