Life-boat Grew Drowned.
London, 27th. A very severe grale has been experienced in the English Channel, and on both the coasts. It has proved most disastrous at Havre, where se'veral wrecks Have resulted. While the life-boat was proceeding to the assistance of a vessel it was capsized, and the crew numbering sixteen were drowned. '
Ship destroyed by Fire
SUICIDE OF THE CAPTAIN. Sydney, this day.—Telegrams are to hand announcing that .the steamship Hollander, 600 tons, bound for Sydney, with a cargo of sugar for the Colonial Sugar Co. , has been destroyed by fire at sea. The crew has landed safely .at Banjoewanji, in java; The captain has committed suicide. The vessel was only partially insured.
Emperors Fraternal. London, 27th. A meeting will shortly take place between the Czar of Russia and the Emperor Francis Joseph of Austria.
