Sydney, this day.—Sweet William is favourite for the Sydney Cup and Hawkesbury Handicap.

London, 23rd.—In the House of Commons to-day a motion granting a sum of £ IO,OOO as an annuity to Prince Leopold on the occasion of his approaching marriage to Princess Helena, of Waldeck, was voted on a division by a considerable majority. The minority numbered 42 members, and consisted of radicals and Parnellite members.
