London, 23rd.—New Zealand securities are firm at last quotations.
The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,000,000. There are ho changes to report in the Colonial produce market. London WOOL Market. London, 23rd.—12,200 bales were catalogued at to-day’s wool auction, the tone of which was strong. Superfine and fine qualities of all classes of wool are firmer, 11,500 bales having been withdrawn from sale since the opening of series. College of Music. London, 23rd.—A meeting for the purpose of considering the question of a proposed college of music, was held this evening. The Prince of Wales presided, and there were present a large number of distinguished persons, and many colonials resident in England, Earl Kimberley, Secretary of State, Sir ELeury l?arkes, and Agent-Generals for the colonies. Several of the speakers appealed to colonials to co-operate in the objects of the meeting, and resolutions were passed with a view to .the formation of the proposed college. Arrival. Adelaide, this day.—Arrived, the steamship Sorata from Plymouth (Bth February).
