Compensation to Harbor Board.

At the adjourned monthly meeting of the Harbor Board yesterday—present Messrs Aitchison (in the chair), Horner, Adams, and (lane—the Board resolved to forward a memorial or petition to Government praying for compensation to the amount of £3,889, being the estimated depreciation to the Board’s property caused by railway formation at Patea, as valued by Messrs Dale and Cowern on behalf of the Board.

The other business done at yesterday’s meeting is mentioned elsewhere, there being little of importance.
