THE QUEEN’S THANKS.

London, 13th.—The Queen has addressed a letter to the Home Secretary stating -that she has been greatly touched by the; enthusiastic loyalty, affection and devotion toher person, as shown by the congatulations upon her escape from the recent attempt on her life. Her Majesty lenders her heartiest and warmest thanks to the highest and humblest of her subjects ; and states that she will continue her unceasing efforts to uphold the honor and glory of her dear country, and maintain prosperity and happiness for her people.
