This Day. WANGANUI ELicTION PETITION Wellington.—Mr Stout is proceeding to Wanganui to-day, to act, as counsel for Mr Ballance in the election petition against Mr Watt’s return. Nelson Rifle Meeting. Nelson, this day.—A football match between Wanganui representatives and the Wellington Naval Brigade is to be played to-day. The distribution of prizes in connection with the Rifle Association’s meeting takes place at 3-30 this afternoon. Exports to Fiji. Wellington.—The ship Albatross has sailed for Fiji with a cargo of local produce consisting of flour, oatmeal, grain, ale, soap, candles, biscuits, preserved meat, confectionery, butter, and sawn timber.
