It rained again this morning. The last match in the championship is now proceeding. Holiday at New Plymouth. New Plymouth.—To-day is observed as a general holiday owing to the Friendly, Temperance, and other societies inviting and holding sports at Glenavon. There is expected to be a large muster from all parts of the district. The weather is fine. Customs Returns at Napier. Napier.—The total revenue collected at the customs office Port Napier is £3624 showing an increase of £844 over the corresponding month of last year. Napier Races Postponed. On account of the inclemency of the weather the Racing Clubs races are postponed. Commercial Interests. A meeting of persons interested in the formation of a Chamber of Commerce is called for the Bth inst.
