Whakamara School Committee.

At the annual meeting of householders for the School District of Whakamara there were present, Messrs Baird, Bremer, Duris, G. W. Gane, F. J. Gane, and Scott. Mr Scott was voted to the chair.

Mr F. J. Gane, late chairman of committee, explained that through being away from home for two days previously, he had not come with a written report. As four out of the six householders present were members of the retiring committee, it would not be necessary to say much, but he (Mr Gane) would answer any question. The following were duly proposed and seconded as members of new school committee Mr Edwards, proposed by Mr F. J. Gane and seconded by Mr Baird. Mr. Duris, proposed Mr G. W. Gane and seconded by Mr Bremer. Mr Bremer, proposed by Mr Baird and seconded by Mr Duris. Mr Scott, proposed by Mr Duris and seconded by Mr Baird. Mr Baird, proposed by Mr Scott and seconded by Mr Duris. Mr G. W. Gane, proposed by Mr Baird and seconded bv Mr Scott.

Mr O. Williams,, proposed by Mr G. W. Gane and seconded by Mr Baird. Mr Malone, proposed by Mr F. J. Gane and seconded by Mr Baird. Mr Baird withdrew his name,’which then left the requisite number to form the committee, whom the chairman declared to be duly elected.
