The Governor. Wellington.—The Governor leaves for Lyttelton in the Hinemoa at 5 this evening. Rifle Meeting. Wellington.—All the camp equipments for the rifle shooting at Nelson were sent away to-day. Small-Pox and Infection. An official telegram received from Sydney states there have been no cases of small-pox in Sydney since the 22nd January ; that there are not any houses in quarantine; and that so far as is known, New South Wales is free from the disease, with exception of cases in quarantine and the Sanatorium, which are progressing favorably. The question of revoking the proclamation declaring Sydney an infected port is under the consideration of the New Zealand Government.
