{Aye Specials— Later.) Austria’s Troubles. There has been further severe fighting between Austrian troops and the insurgents in Herzegovina. The former have been defeated at Gatsko, a town 40 miles south-east of Mostar, the capital of the province. Seizing “Punch.” The German police have seized all copies of London Punch that were offered for sale in Berlin, on account of certain caricatures which have recently appeared in it, the authorities considering their tendency was to bring the German Government into ridicule and contempt. PillageTurcomans of Merv have made a raid upon Meshed, a large fortified town in the province of Kholasan, near the north-east portion of Persia, Several adjoining towns were also pillaged, and 8,000 sheep earried away. Collision in Canal. A collision has taken place in the Suez Canal between steamers, both of which were considerably damaged. One engineer was killed. Fighting in Tunis. General Logerot having departed with French troops which recently occupied Gabes, a seaport town in South Tunis, a large body of insurgent Arabs has attacked the town, and its situation is considered critical. Socialists in Austria. Socialists have lately been displaying considerable activity in Austria. A number have been arrested in Drunn, the chief town of Moravia, and other arrests are expected.
