DOCTORS AND PATIENTS. Mr J. A. Houguez makes the following statement: —My wife is about to be confined, and I asked one doctor to attend the case, bat he only said “Go to Doctor I went to the other doctor, and he said “ I won’t undertake the case. £25 wouldn’t pay me for a case like that, and in fact I have made up my mind to attend only my own friends. Go to the other doctor.” So lam sent from one to another, and although I am willing to pay the fee in advance, yet neither of the doctors in the place will attend the case. I took a lawyer’s advice, and he told me I can compel a doctor to attend if he is a registered practitioner. But in the meantime my wife is delirious, and I want to know what more I can do.
