Australian tallow : Best beef has declined sixpence per cwt., and best mutton one shilling. To-day’s quotations are— Beef, 37s 6d ; mutton, 45s 6d. The stock of tallow in London on Ist instant was 11,300 casks. Colonial breadstuff's are without quotable change. Disputed Navigation of the Danube. Vienna, 3rd, Relations between the Austrian and Roumanian Governments are now much strained over the question of the navigation of the Danube. The Austrian Government has suspended all diplomatic communication with the Roumanian ‘Principality until Count Kalnok, the new Austrian Premier, has examined the points in dispute. Gambetta on Control of Tunis. Paris, 3rd. In a speech to-day Gambetta stated that his Government would not object to European control of affairs in Tunis, if such was desired by the Powers. “ Orient ” Steamer.
