Mr Hutchison addressed a large meeting at Normanby last night, and our correspondent says he was warmly received. A motion of thanks and confidence was carried with only two dissentients. Mr T. Fergus has two opponents for the Lake constituency. At the nomination, the numbers were: M’Bride 25, Fergus 24, Thomson 14. The last candidate had been longest before the electors. The voting at nominations is no criterion under present conditions. Authority has been received in Wellington to open a Royal Arch Chapter of Druids for the North Island.
