THE MOUNT VERNON DISPUTE.
The Native Affairs Committee have reported to the House on the dispute between the natives in Hawke’s Bay and Mr Harding. They recommend that Government should take the whole land in dispute, grant so much of it as may be necessary to the Maories interested, and give Mr Harding compensation for his land and the trouble and expense to which he has been put.
