FASHION NOTES.
All-wool white nuns veiling, dotted with polka dots, will be much worn. Ombre satins de Lyon grow more and more popular for both dresses and bonnets. Shirred effects in skirt draperies appear bn the most fashionable imported dresses. A dash of yellow, blue, or red is deemed essential to the finish of all dark toilets. Some of the new polonaises are made with fall, panier-like draperies over the hips. ' Summer plush, shot with silver and gold, will trim many dresses as well as bonnets. Late importations of Paris wraps have the fulness in the shoulders and backs pleated instead of shirred in. Steel, silver, gold and crystal beads yield to metallic laces as bonnet and dress trimmings for midsummer wear. Pearl grey shaded to silver, is the ombre satin chosen for brides’ wear; the trimmings are seed pearls and lace.
