FROM OUR PARLIAMENTARY GORRESP ON DENT. Monday Evening. The Financial Statement will not be delivered till Thursday, owing to returns which are required not being yet prepared. Major Atkinson, on the following day, will move the second reading, for the Government, of the Local Governments Bill. A caucus of Government supporters was held on Saturday, 27 being present. The object of the caucus was to impress on supporters the necessity of giving support to the party. Mr Wakefield urged united action. Several members stated that, while prepared to vote for Government on questions involving a want pf confidence, they were determined to support other measures according to promises made to their constituents, and according to their convictions. It has transpired that - Government propose to reimpose the property lax, and it is rumored the customs tariff will be revised.
